The layout models the late 1940s to mid-1950s in the Panhandle and North Central Texas, with all Alco locomotives. It is a freelanced double-deck with a helix, based in Mineral City (aka Mineral Wells, Texas). Operation consists of out & back turns plus mine operations. Staging connects the A&MC via the T&P (Mineral City), SSW (Hagerman), Rock Island (Hansford) and Quanah, Acme & Pacific (Acme). The layout is well under way but there is much construction remaining.
