This layout is built to Proto48 standards. The general theme is T&NO/MKT in the transition era. Bench work is complete and approximately 150′ of track has been hand laid. More than 60′ of detailed backdrop has been hand painted. The mainline track is complete and most scenery is complete. There are numerous scratchbuilt award-winning freight cars and structures including the Katy’s downtown Austin freight terminal with freight shed, brick office and freight platform, a scratchbuilt turntable and model of the Carmine, TX depot. Several new scratchbuilt freight cars have been finished and he has converted some brass diesels to P48. Control system is DC. Sorry, there are no restrooms available.
