The layout is a Proto-Freelanced representation of the Reading Company subsidiary operating out of Dallas, Pennsylvania in the upstate anthracite region. This a fairly accurate representation of the 45 mile bridge line segment running from Wilkes-Barre, west to the Reading interchange with the New York Central at Newberry Junction. All track work is operational and detailed scenery is about 90% complete, and thousands of trees have been planted. The time period modeled is the mid 1950’s. Sound equipped Mallets, Northerns, and Baldwin diesels pull and push freight over Back Mountain. Shays are used on the branch line. The large coal breaker at Bernice is modeled as is the Yuengling Brewery. There are also numerous large bridges. The narrow gauge Eagles Mere Railroad interchanges at Sonestown. Main line is 420 feet long with a track elevation between 52 and 66 inches. There is also 300 track feet of staging.
