Franklinton Crossing transports viewers to the late 1950s in the fictional town of Franklinton, PA. The L-shaped layout spans 11 feet across the back and 9 feet along the side, set against a picturesque backdrop of rural Pennsylvania hills during early fall. The layout features two mainlines that wind though scenery that runs the gamut from a quaint Main Street in a small town along the back wall to a hillside with a tunnel in the corner, a flowing river, and a busy downtown intersection. Several trackside industries are nestled along the inner mainline, enhancing operational possibilities and scenic realism. Franklinton Crossing boasts a diverse array of detailed features that capture the essence of a bustling 1950s community. The 28 structures are either scratchbuilt or from craftsman kits, with many containing lighting and detailed interior scenes, including a scene recreating the Nighthawks painting by Edward Hopper.
In addition, Wayne hosts a second O scale on a shelf layout running around the room above the doors and windows, with lit buildings along half the layout.
