This is a proto-freelanced version of the Berkshire Line of the New Haven Railroad. The setting and operating plan were designed to provide an historical showcase of the actual railroads modeled. Interchanges occur with the New York Central’s Boston & Albany Division. A realistic operating plan using a fast clock, car cards and way bills was developed using actual 1961 NH and NYC freight and passenger timetables. Layout operations are historically accurate as permitted by the constraints of the model.
