The RWR is totally fictional with the towns and Industries named after grandchildren and other family members. It was designed for fun. The railroad is powered by NCE and operated using JMRI. The system is paperless using tablets for manifests and switching. It is designed to operate with 1 to 4 operators and an operating session will take about 3 hours. Solo operations can be as short as 30 minutes or as long as an hour and one half.
The RWR is a point-to-point branch line with semi-hidden staging at the east end at the town of Dees. Dees represents its Junction with the Great Northern RR. At the west end is the busy port city of Iris. Between Dees and Iris the railroad serves an interchange track in Tatum, industries in Jackson Heights, industries in Jordyn and drops and set outs at the yard in the town of Brandon, it terminates in Iris. There is no passenger service.
An operating session will find an East Bound Way Freight, West Bound Way Freight and local switch jobs in Iris and Brandon. A session will run with 4 locomotives and about 150 pieces of rolling stock. The era is the late, late sixties and the railroad uses leased Great Northern Equipment.
Scenery is still ongoing with changes occurring on a regular basis and ballasting still incomplete.
The town of Iris is 98% completed, Brandon is 90%, Jordyn about 60% and Jackson Heights at 75% completion.
